STUDI/O includes an 18-bit stereo analog monitor output.  This output can directly drive headphones, or can be used for quick analog mastering, or live, real-time monitoring of any of STUDI/O's inputs or outputs, or...

STUDI/O has true peak-hold metering for all inputs and outputs

STUDI/O's DSP computes true peak-hold meters for all 16 inputs, 16 outputs and for the on-board stereo mixer outs.  In Windows, these meters can be displayed on-screen alongside your audio workstation software, or (a Sonorus exclusive), simplified versions of the meters can be placed in the system tray.

STUDI/O's dedicated on-board mixer: better than zero latency

Ordinary sound cards and ADAT interfaces need to jump through software hoops to provide low-latency input monitoring.  With STUDI/O's on-board 32-channel mixer, you can monitor any combination of inputs and outputs through the analog monitor output.  And because this happens completely on the card, the analog output is available instantaneously regardless of the buffer sizes the software is using.  And oh yeah, you can route the mixer output to one or two pairs of digital inputs if you like.

Lock to wild SPDIF devices with the hardware sample rate converter

No other ADAT interface card has a hardware sample rate converter for transparently synchronizing to any (and we mean any) valid SPDIF data stream regardless of the clock settings of the system.  No need to slave your studio to that one piece of gear that won't take an external clock.  Bring 44.1 kHz CD audio into your 48 kHz project without even having to think about it.  Even output stereo SPDIF at two different sample rates simultaneously.

Plug in up to four cards and max out with 64 inputs and 64 outputs
